Thank you for visiting my page.

If you are reading this then I hope to provide you with a brief, relevant back story to how I got where I am today. I do not think I have taken the typical path to become a BAAB (Blog as a Business) but I think my experiences will contribute a unique value that I plan to provide here.

Deleted: Another mission of this blog and page is to provide some of those insights and support to everyone here and that joins our email list. I have recently become a big fan of the “One to Many” approach. This platform will enable me as 1 person to share with many of you all things I can and will learn to do with Sales, Marketing, Recruitment and Entrepreneurship. While I never have, nor will I ever see myself as an expert I do see value in the what I have learned both about strategies and especially about the SaaS (Software as a Service)

How Did We Get Here?

During my 22 year, and counting…, career in Public Safety I have always had some type of side job, hustle or business. Even in Recruit School I would go home most nights and deliver mattresses out of my pick up truck for a local store. It is very common for first responders to work overtime on a regular basis, work for another company or have a side business of their own. I feel all of my side hustles have led me to this blog where I can have an opportunity to share the strategies, tactics and softwares that helped me along the way.  Btw, I do have a wife and 3 Boys that have kept me pretty busy along the way so pardon my slow pace. They all 3 play travel Ice Hockey!

I have been VERY fortunate to have some generous mentors in the private business world who have taken their valuable time to teach me along the way as well. Thank you to MT for showing me how to start a business from scratch and for listening and advising which led to many great decisions and outcomes. I will always remember that Sales is the Oxygen for a business to not only survive but grow. I also need to thank PC for your knowledge and time in all things Sales, Marketing and Software. Your generosity with your time and “Go-Giver” attitude has played a large part in the development of this blog.

Summary of Relevant Experience

A few years after delivery jobs I started to perform real estate settlements in people’s houses on a regular basis. These were mostly refinances but built a strong awareness of coming into someone’s home as a stranger and needing to instantly build rapport and trust while discussing their finances. (If the loan officer did a bad job this made my very difficult)

The next obvious transition was to become the Loan Officer. This gave me the ability to help others directly with their large investments in real estate. It was a very gratifying experience to help others financially with their home purchase or refinance with an honest, fair priced product.

After taking a couple years off to focus on Public Safety promotions and Leadership training an opportunity presented itself to me that I had always yearned for with no time, money or knowledge. When MT came up with an idea for Off Duty First Responders to work in the private sector as Temporary Staffing this seemed like a home run, scalable bound for success idea. I learned the grind of business ownership throughout this process and also saw the myriad of options that software could provide to a start up or existing business. The problem was simple: Too many software choices and so many of them were well above the budget that we wanted to spend. When I did find an economical software that provided a solution I wanted to share it with everyone I knew. I loved bringing up the solutions I had discovered that worked for me and helping others find their products.

The need for Sales was very evident and B2B sales was even more of a learning curve for me. After discovering that LinkedIn was the mecca of B2B sales I jumped right in on my research for both a software and a service provider that could help us get leads. What I found was a company and group of individuals, led by PC, that were very knowledgeable in this area and willing to teach me as we went so I could duplicate the process. This worked perfect and the ROI was evident from day 1.

As I started to realize the Staffing Company was not going to grow the way we had originally intended both in revenue and structure I went back to PC for some more of that gracious advice. He introduced me to a software developer that has treated me as family from day one. This partnership has enabled me to build a Software as a Service for many customers in a short period of time. Being able to help others solve their problems resonates with me in all aspects of

life…Think Firetrucks!!

Here we are Today!

So today with this BaaB (Blog as a Business) I am here outside of my comfort zone writing blogs. The reason I have taken this path is hopefully obvious at this point. This blog and our email list will provide me with the platform to share Strategies, Tactics and Softwares to help others with Sales, Marketing, Recruiting and just about any other task an Entrepreneur will face along with Start-ups and Businesses. I am really looking forward to helping by sharing a lot of value in both softwares that I use, I have researched and vetted along with ways to use them to turn you into your own Recruiting Team, Sales Force or Marketing Agency.
